Spaces (Art not always has to be political or conceptual)

Creating art is innate to humans. We have used different mediums for expression since the dawn of time. And after thousands of years in existence, painting has become embedded in our history.

The 20th century has taken painting to unexpected places, and through the digital age. But the medium will live on because unlike digital images, brush strokes are like fingerprints: No painting can replicate another. You can see a painter's spiritual blueprint in his work.

I believe that painting is a holy gift that has been placed in my hands. The colors, textures, and the action itself of painting connect my body and soul and make me whole. My most treasured desire as an artist is to share this transcendental experience with other people. I want others to interact with my artwork and the process of its creation.

At this point , I feel that a lot of external information – advertising, Facebook, the media in general – which is not related to my inner self is creating confusion that interferes with communicating my true message. I want to step away from this digital age and return to the roots of painting, to create something that comes purely from the spirit.

My hope is to develop such a blueprint across my own artwork; a visual language communicated through my paintings for future generations to read.
